Job Description for Toxic Gas Chemical Management Maintenance
Technician
JOB SUMMARY
The TGCM Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining,
operating, and conducting preventative maintenance inspections, as
well as performing required maintenance duties. This includes the
operation, maintenance, and repair of specialty chemical and gas
systems to meet the required standards of purity, quality, and
facility performance.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Problem Resolution: Assist in identifying and resolving gas and
chemical-related semiconductor manufacturing issues.
Procedure Development: Participate in the creation of equipment
start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance tasks and
procedures (including SOPs, LOTO, JHA, etc.).
Team Environment: Foster a collaborative team environment, provide
customer satisfaction and support, and work independently and as
part of a team.
Inventory Management: Maintain parts and materials inventory in the
CMMS system and manage upcoming projects by gathering and
pre-fabricating materials.
Coordination: Coordinate work among various shifts and with vendors
to avoid impact; address system instrumentation issues and
coordinate with contractors on system/equipment modifications.
System Support: Act as the point of contact and assign staff to
address utility tool turn on and turn-offs; support efforts to
enhance the SCADA program.
Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills and
proficient use of Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management
programs.
Safety and Skills: Exhibit excellent mechanical aptitude and
prioritize safety in all tasks.
Emergency Response: Serve as an active member of the emergency
response team.
Other Duties: Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Toxic Gas Chemical Management Maintenance
Technician
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3-5 years of
experience in TGCM operations environment, mechanical maintenance
or equivalent educational and professional experience in a highly
technical/engineering environment
Technical Knowledge: Operational experience with technical
training; general understanding of mechanical, electrical, and
control systems.
Maintenance Skills: Experience working with maintenance schedules,
blueprints, diagrams, sketches, codes, and maintaining detailed and
accurate records.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and push/pull 50 lbs.
regularly, frequently climb (ladders, stairs, scaffolding), and
work in adverse weather conditions and exposure to hazards (moving
mechanical parts, heat, cold, noise).
Must possess good interpersonal and communications skills, the
ability to write clearly and concisely, and proficient use of
Microsoft Office, computer maintenance management programs, and
other applicable computer programs.
Required to wear cleanroom protective equipment and various
personal protective equipment (PPE) related to work activities.
Must be able to carry and respond to cell phone/emails outside of
regularly scheduled work hours.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a
background investigation; this position may require annual
background investigations.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of Experience in major semiconductor manufacturer, a
supplier to the semiconductor industry or similar industry, such as
specialty gas/equipment supplier, pharmaceutical or medical device
manufacturer desired.

Salary Range: $25-$32/ hr
*Posted salary rates are determined upon experience and
education
