Voyage - Apply Now Profile Summary:As a member of the Application
Maintenance (AM) team, the Application Support Lead role provides
technical support and oversight for the applications within their
portfolio. They ensure the delivery of services is provided within
the boundaries of Voya established standards (SLAs). The role
ensures there is appropriate partnership between the Application
Maintenance, Application Development, Release Management,
Infrastructure, and Architecture teams. They will be the onshore
technical lead, who is skilled in the design, coding, testing,
troubleshooting and maintenance of their applications.Profile
Description:
- Partners with AM management to govern the overall end-to-end
delivery for a set of applications.
- The point of contact for communications with our business
partners for any delivery issues.
- Oversees the delivery of day-to-day online availability and the
execution of batch cycles.
- Works with the business to resolve issues and complete their
requests.
- Works with the Incident Management team on high priority
technical issues; and afterwards, on the root cause analysis and
improvement plans.
- Ensures system documentation is current and complete.
- Conducts reviews to ensure design, infrastructure, security,
architecture, and documentation meet Voya standards.
- Reviews SLA reports and escalates delivery concerns to AM
management.
- Reviews system performance results and suggests improvements,
as needed.
- Facilitates meetings with the AM developer teams to review
outstanding work and current assignments, using our governance
reports and dashboards.
- Provides subject matter expertise in the design, coding, and
testing of production fixes and small enhancements.
- Guides the team to identify, document, and implements
improvements to our applications and IT processes to reduce errors,
manual processes, etc.
- Ensures the stability of our environment by reviewing upcoming
changes, performs system capacity planning, executes the disaster
recovery plans, etc.
- Coaches the new software developers with their application
development activities.
- Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and process for
software development and project management.Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS,
Engineering, or related field.
- Six years of complex (multi-tiered) software development
experience including two years of leadership experience
- Proven ability in the following programming languages: .NET,
C#, ASP.NET, and SQL.
- Optional programming languages: Java, Informatica/ETL, COBOL,
and MS Azure/Cloud Computing concepts
- Experience with any of the following tools and technologies is
a plus:
- DevOps - GitHub, Jenkins, XLD, SonarQube, Artifactory
- Security vulnerabilities - Veracode, Snyk
- Monitoring - Dynatrace, Grafana, Foglight
- Database - Oracle, SQL server, DB2
- ITSM Process Tools - Service Now
- Experience with SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven ability of structure analysis and technical design
techniques, database, and file access methods.
- Ability to develop detailed Disaster Recovery plans and lead
teams through DR testing, resulting in a successful outcome.
- Fosters effective partnerships and drives effective
collaboration with peers and vendor resources.
- Experience with working with external suppliers to manage
outcomes.
- Ability to work in an onshore/offshore model and collaborate
with team members from different geographic location (mostly
India)
- Ability to embrace, adapt and lead through change.Required

- System/Application performance review and improvement
opportunity identification.
- Able to maintain technical documentation and configuration
management data.
- Able to understand Voya's standards for architecture, security,

- Ability to define and manage outcomes via established
SLAs.Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that's
fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles
and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects
the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s)
listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive
opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives,
and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the
achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this
salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work
within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya
Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual
compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based
upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience,
education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be
finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will
be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be
