Position Description:
The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) provides specialized care
for patients undergoing cardiac or vascular surgery. Common
procedures in the CVOR include coronary artery bypass surgery,
valve replacements, heart transplants, aortic artery repairs,
vascular bypass, endarterectomies, and endovascular cardiac
surgeries, among others. Nurses in the CVOR are integral members of
a highly functioning and dynamic interdisciplinary team, working
closely with cardiac and vascular surgeons, advanced practice
providers, surgical technologists, perfusionists, anesthesia
providers, and support staff. Expand on your skills -join this

high acuity specialty area.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- - - - The primary role will be as a circulating nurse in one of
our seven cardiac or vascular operating rooms. High volume OR,
averaging 30 open heart cases per week.
After orientation there is a possibility for flexible scheduling,
including evening or weekend only schedule.
Qualifications - - - - - - - - - Current active CT RN License
- - - - - - - - - Previous OR experience required (OR Novice
nurses, including Graduate Nurses, may apply to the OR Nurse
Transition to Practice Program)
- - - - - - - - - BSN Preferred
- - - - - - - - - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
at time of hire
- - - - - - - - - Excellent interpersonal skills
- - - - - - - - - Independent problem-solving skills
- - - - - - - - - Excellent communication skills
- - - - - - - - - CNOR certification preferred -
